Our
first attempt at staging our own Classic Car Show in April 2000 was a runaway
success, so much so
we had been invited back to hold yet another later in the
Summer - 20th August 2000 to be precise.

We
have Committee member Vic Gallucci to thank for the initial idea and all the
hard groundwork he put in place to set the whole thing up with his contacts in
Windsor. You can read an
interview with
Vic Gallucci ('Trev') on the official website of The
Bill.
Here's what the press had to say
about the show:

Shoppers
braved the rain to strap themselves into the seats of 25 Fiat "dream
cars". In
a celebration of 100 years of Fiat, the cars parked up at Windsor Royal Station
on Saturday
to give shoppers the chance to take a seat in a selection of new and old
vehicles.
Rob
Beswick, from the station, said: "It was fantastic, a really good
successful event. The
cars went from new to old running through the ages.
Events like this give a real ambience
to the street."
Many
of the cars' owners were also at the station and on hand to describe to
interested passers-by
how they had renovated their antique motors.
"It's
great for the shoppers to see cars a bit different to what they're used to
driving" Rob
added.
"We're hoping we can have a lot more events like this at Windsor
Royal Station."
