Treasures of the Forest

The "Treasures of the Forest" was a treasure hunt  in the New Forest, Hampshire, on the 15th of October, 2000.

The start point was at the Cadnam Cricket ground which is off the A337 near Lyndhurst. Cars started arriving just before 10:00 am and by the 10:30 start time a good selection of participating cars (some of which were Fiats!) were  gathered at the cricket ground car park.

The weather was extremely kind to all with lovely sunshine (and no rain) during the run which took about 3 hours and approximately 50 miles of beautiful countryside within the New Forest area. There were two stops on-route which gave everyone an opportunity to compare notes as well as have teas, coffees etc.

Our thanks go to Barry and Jenny Gilleland for organising the event.
