Pride of Ownership

The weather men (and women) often get it wrong and to our delight they really got it wrong for Sunday the 12th of November, 2000,  when we had our "Pride of Ownership" event at La Bonne Auberge, South Godstone.

We were promised rain all day but instead we had a dry and sunny day albeit with a rather refreshing wind. A wide range of Italian cars turned up and attendance was good considering the threats of bad weather.

Our chairman, Peter Jones

and wife Wendy enjoying the lunch.

The event was followed by lunch at La Bonne Auberge for those who wanted. Lunch was free for Ian, the proud owner of the Bravo HGT which won the competition. Ian acquired the Bravo only 4 days before the event and we have it on good authority that he was outside in the rain on Saturday washing the car. He even managed to quickly polish the Bravo on Saturday during a short dry spell.
