 The
Old Warder Aerodrome near Biggleswade in Bedfordshire was the starting
point for the Herts and Beds New Year run. Considering the
horrendous weather we had the night before and with all minor roads still
covered in snow, we felt we were very lucky to get 10 cars to take part in
the run. Some members just turned up to be sociable and went to
a Little Chef for lunch while the rest of us tried to make some
sense of the clues and the route. As the event was advertised in Classic
Car magazines and we extended a special invitation to the Alfa Romeo
Owners Club we had a varied selection of Italian cars taking part. In
fact, first and second places were won by AROC members in their
Alfas.
