The
2006 Uxbridge Car Show held on the 16th of July was a very good one; I would say that it was bigger than ever and very well organised. There was a vast display of cars of every type. The Fiat Motor Club had over thirty cars on Display with the usual mix of various types. We had 3 x 500’s and moved up through the manufacturing list by Fiat.
2 Alfas, a Lancia Y10 and all the Fiats finishing with a brace of Ferraris. I may be prejudiced but I think that looked a lot better that a stand full of the same thing however
exotic.
A stand full of the same model is my idea of very boring, one example of some types is bad enough but 8 of the same thing makes you want to weep: very satisfying for the participants no doubt but very boring for everyone else. Like a drum solo, great for the drummer with everyone else wondering when he will break his drum sticks and finish and may it be soon.
Our stand was very well patronised, with visitors all day. One of the good things about our club is that we have a good mix of men and women and are very short of chauvinists which makes for a very nice day.
I will let the pictures tell the rest of the story.
