Organised by Retro Cars Magazine at the Santa Pod Raceway, the show is
a multi-marque modified classics event with live action, club
displays, the best tuned cars from the 60's to the 80's, auto jumble and
of course the chance to run your hot classic on the 1/4 mile strip
during the non-stop sprint action.
The Italian contingent was pretty thin at the show with Michael
Ward's blue Fiat 128 Rallye, two orange Fiat 131s, Alfa Guilia Super,
Lancia Stratos (replica), Lancia Delta GTie, a Volumex engined Polski
125 pick-up and a Punto. The day was actually quite fun - a bit
pricey, a lot of scope for a future club event, plenty of space and
facilities.
