Sunday
28th May 2003 at 10.20 a.m. 28 people and a dog met at Syon Park
for the start of the Safari Run. The route took them round North
West London through the centre to Kings Cross and then North for lunch
at the Chairman's house.
After
lunch the intrepid crew set off again for a shorter route ending at
Tufnell Park where they all arrived safely. We were joined at the
Continental Motor Centre by Felice Roselli, his pal Bob, Trevor and his
wife, all the admin people and several children plus a few others -
altogether 45 people (including the dog) where we all had tea and a very
special cake.
The
winner was Simon Ryle and his wife Wendy, second was Barry Gilleland and
his wife Jenny and third was David and Susan Slaney. A magnum of
red wine was presented to Ian Ayre as the driver of the best classic car
on the day (a splendid Topolino) - picture below. The
wine was supplied by Ricambio International.
The
pictures were taken by Robin Palmer.
