The
2006 Fiat Motor Club (GB) National Day was held at the Whitewebbs Museum
of transport in Enfield on Sunday 18th June.
It
was a hot sunny day and the excellent weather ensured there was a
good turnout of Fiats and a few other Italian cars. There were also a
couple of Autojumble stands with an excellent selection of parts, books
and memorabilia.
Furthest
travelled was the 'legendary' Jim Magill in his Panda who came all
the way from Ireland on his way to the USA! Unfortunately on the way to
the event Jim's Panda developed a slight exhaust problem (it fell off!).
With the silencer thrown behind the bushes somewhere between
junctions 7 and 8 of the M1, Jim made his noisy way down to Enfield
while Dave, a very nice man from the Fiat Forum, took the exhaust off
his own Panda and made his way from deepest Essex to Enfield where he
fitted the exhaust to Jim's car. Dave is undoubtedly an ace man!
