2004 Christmas Get together
This year saw the tenth anniversary of this now legendary event. It all started way back in 1995 when I thought it would be a good idea to organise an event through the Winter months to keep up the interest generated at events through the Summer. The rest they say is history, this event has grown in popularity over the years with no less than 53 Fiat Motor Club and Alfa Romeo Owners Club members taking part this year making it by far the biggest and best yet.
The event took place on December 4th / 5th at the Crown Hotel in Scarborough were we all met up on the Saturday afternoon. On the evening we enjoyed an excellent meal and disco party into the early hours.
On the Sunday morning following breakfast we set off in what can only be described as a very impressive convoy of Italian machinery comprising of Fiats, Alfa Romeos, Lancias and a Ferrari. Our route took us to Pickering, across the North Yorkshire Moors to Goathland - known as Aidensfield in ITV's Heartbeat and on to the picturesque coastal village of Robin Hoods Bay for light refreshments. This event coincides with their Victorian weekend when the locals dress up in period costume.
We continued on to Whitby were we had the best Fish and Chips in the whole
wide world at the famous Magpie café.
If you've never been to this event before why not join us in 2005.
