Sunday 3rd December
On Sunday 3rd December, 2000, we had a repeat, for the
second year, of this very successful event with a drive from
Brighton to South Godstone. The start was at 10:00 a.m.
on Madeira Drive, with a new route devised by Jan
and Jimmy Di Carlo to La Bonne Auberge. The well organised Jan
had tea, coffee and biscuits ready for the contestants to see them
on their way.
 After
the run there was the prize giving and Christmas lunch at La Bonne Auberge.
The run ended with a three way tie for the win so Jan concocted a
last minute tie-breaker: The three winning teams had to guess the
Chairman's age!
